The key to a well-developed project as well as a competitive grant application is to have a firm foundation in community-based planning. Community planning and preparedness will enable you to easily move forward on projects and funding opportunities that align with your community’s long-term goals. To help you reach community preparedness, this webinar will focus on community comprehensive planning and community project planning. JD Tovey, Planning Director for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, will provide information on how a community-based planning process can effectively be used in the area of comprehensive community plan development. Joe Fraser, Director of the Teacher Education Program Kaho’iwai, will discuss community-based planning strategies in the context of project development.
